Job Description

The role:
the role of registration support apprentice you will assist members of the public to complete certificate applications, registration documents and other forms.
you will search for and write or copy information from registers onto birth, marriage or death certificates for authorisation by a registration officer.
in the role of registration support apprentice you will be checking for accuracy of searches and issuing copies of certificates.
you will deal directly with customers at reception and open, sort and record incoming mail.
as part of your role as a registration support apprentice you will process cred/debit card, cash, postal order and cheque payments, issuing receipts.
you will register marriage or civil partnerships.
as part of the role you will be part of the administration support for the ceremonies team.
you will also input data to the family history database.
this role is fixed term for the purpose of completion of the customer service level 2 apprenticeship and will end 24 months after you start with us.
