Recruitment And Retention Support Officer

The role:
we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced recruitment officer with an understanding of children and young people’s services to ensure effective and timely recruitment and retention activity within children's services
as recruitment and retention support officer, you will provide an effective full centralised management of all agency and permanent recruitment for all roles with hiring managers, with effective communication and inter-personal skills
you will ensure consistent best and safe practice recruitment methodology in relation to recruitment and selection policies, working closely alongside the central recruitment team in an organised and methodical manner
as the recruitment and retention officer, you will support leaders in the delivery of the children’s workforce strategy and ensure plans are implemented, in effective production of monthly recruitment and retention reports
the post holder will have significant operational recruitment experience with a proven delivery track record, within a large local government organisation and understand children’s services national priorities and programmes
you will be a proactive, problem-solving forwarding thinker, able to implement creative and innovative recruitment and retention strategies to support the workforce
this role is fixed term for the purpose of supporting the implementation of and transition to new hr/recruitment systems and processes and will end two years from the contract start date.
