Overview
the care ambassador plays a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care across our service. this position combines quality assurance, staff support, and hands on involvement in the community. the care ambassador will complete care calls, monitor the quality of care delivery, support and mentor care workers, and contribute to the smooth running of day to day operations. the role is based both in the office and out in the community.

quality of care & care calls
• complete care calls in line with service needs.
• ensure high standards of care are delivered during visits, including:
o monitoring medication administration.
o reviewing completion of care tasks.
o identifying and reporting any concerns or improvements needed.
• maintain accurate and timely records of all care activities.
staff support & development
• shadow new and existing care workers to support skill development and confidence.
• conduct competency assessments and sign off care workers once standards are met.
• provide field support to care workers, offering guidance, coaching, and problem solving.
• complete care certificate observations and contribute to staff training where required.
quality assurance & compliance
• carry out spot checks to ensure care workers meet organisational and regulatory standards.
• complete all required paperwork, documentation, and reports to a high standard.
• support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
operational support
• participate in the on call rota as part of your planned hours, providing out of hours support.
• assist with general office duties, coordination tasks, and communication with staff and clients.
• work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth service delivery.
skills & experience
• experience in a care setting, ideally with knowledge of domiciliary or community care.
• strong understanding of care standards, safeguarding, and best practice.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• ability to mentor, support, and motivate care workers.
• confident in completing documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• reliable, organised, and able to work independently in the community.
working conditions
• office based and community based work.
• participation in the on call rota as required in line with planned hours.
• travel within the local area to complete visits, spot checks, and staff support.
