the project
the goal of this project is to assess the feasibility and value in creating a “data commons” amongst live
music venues and local authorities in north west england, via our safety intelligence platform
crowdvista™. the platform will provide the industry with a collaborative digital ecosystem where data
is shared for the purposes of improving safety and financial sustainability through collective
knowledge.
this innovative collaborative approach to solving the problem has been tested in football, where our
platform matchbox is used by members of the football safety officers' association.
the role
our project manager will be an enthusiast for all things “live”, with a passion for and understanding of
the uk music, sports and events scene. the role will require frequent communication with, and travel
to, venues and locations across two key regions: liverpool city regional authority and the greater
manchester combined authority, to encourage participation with the project. due to the nature of the
project, we’re keen to work with someone who enjoys turning data into positive action, so a familiarity
with, or experience in, interpreting data sets within the music/live events sectors is desirable.
the project manager will work alongside the aposto team, the music venue trust, local and national
live music organisations and will:
• organise and attend meetings with venues, local and regional authorities
• be the primary point of contact for all relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
• create and manage the project plan & project budget
• be responsible for creating monthly reports and attending monthly progress meetings
• ensure project milestones are delivered on time, in full and compliant with grant regulations
• maintain regular and relevant communication with all teams.
the role is focussed on a specific grant to begin with, but the role may be required also contribute to
other similar projects within the timeframe.
responsibilities
1. stakeholder engagement & communication
• act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including venues, local and
regional authorities
• regularly visit live music venues, local and regional authorities to build and nurture
relationships with venue teams, understanding their challenges and opportunities, and
ensuring effective project implementation and buy-in
• clearly communicate project progress, impact, risks, and strategic priorities to internal
stakeholders.
2. project delivery
• lead the delivery of the project, taking ownership of project timelines, milestones, and
budgets
• partner closely with the head of commercial operations to ensure team resources (including
your own time) are effectively allocated at relevant points throughout the project lifecycle
• collaborate with team members to ensure milestones align with the project timeline.
3. grant compliance & administration
• ensure adherence to all specific funding requirements, governance frameworks, and reporting
regulations
• produce comprehensive, accurate and engaging monthly reports for funders
• establish and oversee data collection to measure kpis, prove project impact, and fulfil grant
side evaluation requirements.
requirements
• minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience and ability to provide clear
examples of successful delivery of similar projects
• familiarity with uk live music venue, sports and events networks
• experience in liaising with local and regional authorities
• passion for interpreting data to support action
• exceptional relationship-management skills
• highly organised with sharp attention to detail
• a self-starter, with energy and initiative
• a positive, personable, and collaborative "team player" attitude.
