Hours40 Hours Per Week Fixed term August 2026 to 31 August 2027. 28 days annual leave including statutory holidays. We are unable to guarantee continuation of the role beyond 31.8.2027. However, there may be an opportunity for this to be a permanent role subject to future funding.

Job Description

amadudu is a specialist by and for domestic abuse refuge service prioritising women and children from global majority communities in our 35th year of delivering quality services. we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed family support worker to join our dedicated staff team.

the role
provide practical and emotional support; develop safety plans; support children and young people; advocate with agencies; maintain records and ensure safeguarding.

we are looking for the applicant to have.
experience supporting women, with strong emphasis on services for children affected by domestic abuse; excellent communication and advocacy skills; understanding of barriers faced by women from global majority communities. experience working in a residential, supported living or family support setting, casework, within the last 3 years. demonstrable understanding of safeguarding, it skills, and working as part of a team.
