Job Description

The role:
an exciting opportunity has emerged within the councils children and young people’s service for the role of employer coordinator (send).

as we continue to expand our supported internship none ehcp pilot, you will play a key part in co-ordinating the development and expansion of this programme in liverpool. this role will be hybrid working in partnership with education providers, young people, employers and various stakeholders across the city.

please note that this post is fixed term until 31 july 2027 to support the delivery of a limited term, grant-funded project.

you will:

co-ordinate the development and expansion of relationships with key employers across the supported internship programme in liverpool
develop and maintain effective partnerships with a range of internal and external partners
build an understanding of growth sectors and opportunities across the city understanding trends in entry level work
support young people to achieve sustainable paid employment outcomes
respond to employer queries relating to the programme
assist in the development of the supported internship quality assurance framework and continuous improvement processes
you will need:

prior experience of developing relationships with a broad range of employers to offer opportunities to young people
you will have experience of networking with employers/ stakeholders to promote programmes externally
you will have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, using a variety of appropriate media
you will need excellent it skills, including the use of ms office e.g. word, outlook, and excel
