Job Description

This is a funded position for a young person who is aged 18-24, a liverpool resident, and neet (not in employment, education or training)

sulem care limited, are seeking to recruit a young person who is aged 18.24 as a domiciliary care worker

working as a carer to provide support to vulnerable adults in the community, this includes tasks such as
provision of personal care and support to clients living in their own homes. this involves travel and rota
working to ensure the service user’s needs are met.
carers are required to maintain care skills at a current level, and undertake such training and
development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that level of standard and currency of
practice.

duties and responsibilities:
develop effective working relationships with the other employees
support an open, positive and inclusive working culture
participate in evaluation of sulem care ltd. against agreed organisational goals, business, and
quality objectives
work to establish effective employer - employee relationships
minimise legal risks
participate in the maintenance of sulem’s care ltd. management information systems
assist in the formulation and implementation of care policies and procedures
assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related
to the registration of sulem care ltd.
act within sulem’s care ltd. budget based on sulem’s care ltd. objectives and within the
projected revenue
work in a cost-effective manner
be involved in the implementation and maintenance of sulem’s care ltd. quality assurance
programme
assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service
provision
systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise
assist in the development of the philosophy, goals and objectives for the care practice
assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of care implementation and delivery
implement action to meet and maintain care standards
work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams in order to maximise
opportunities for service user’s therapeutic care
ensure service user rights are protected
encourage a model of self-care and service user rehabilitation
record relevant activities in care plans
evaluate standards of care competence
to contribute to the on-call and weekend working rotas
to utilise acquired dextrous and manipulative skills for the treatment of service users
use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with
service users (and their carers/relatives) to progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes
to work in a domiciliary setting as a lone practitioner or in pairs with telephone support from
senior colleagues as required
to store service user’s related information in computerised systems

offer support at every stage to ensure the young person is successfully placed in the service,
our recruitment is timely and relevant to all ages and we are keen on training, growing and mentoring
young people to become competent carers,
sulem care has provided several opportunities for a few colleges – and have provided learning
experiences for young individuals studying health and social care qualifications,
we are keen to hear from young individuals and support them to start their carer and grow in health
and social care – care provision,
our training is tailor made, shadowing is appropriate young person to young person, and induction is ongoing to ensure maximum share of skills.
