When Bobo registered with Liverpool in Work she had recently graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science and was looking to kick start her career as a health professional.

Our guidance officer supported Bobo with information about job opportunities and training courses and met up with Bobo regularly. Together they decided an NHS traineeship programme was the ideal fit for Bobo and the programme provided a work placement at Liverpool Clinical Laboratories.

At the beginning of the 2020 coronavirus outbreak Bobo was working hard in her placement while also actively seeking a paid for role. She applied for two jobs in the NHS and was offered both. She accepted the post of Associate Practitioner in Histopathology with the Liverpool University Hospital Trust.

Bobo said: ‘Liverpool in Work has really helped me to find work. Through the whole journey, my guidance officer, Ming Wang, and recruitment adviser, Emma Donaldson, have both provided me with enormous support.’

We are all so happy for Bobo and hope she has a very successful career ahead of her.
