As the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment.Your exceptional communication and organisational skills will ensure the smooth running of administrative tasks and day-to-day operations by supporting the administration and finance teams along with carrying out first aid duties as and when required.Personal QualitiesWe are looking for a candidate who will be committed to promoting the ethos and values of the school. Applicants will have the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced working environment.Experience carrying out administrative tasks, dealing with face-to-face and telephone interactions along with working and collaborating within a team is essential.“Archbishop Blanch School is committed to safeguarding andpromoting the welfare of children and young people”The post holder is required to support and encourage the school’s Christian ethos and its objectives, policies and procedures as detailed in the current Staff Handbook and Policy File.STRATEGIC PURPOSE• Be the first point of contact for visitors to the school• Assisting the admin and finance teams and members of the teaching staff in appropriate duties.• Undertake appropriate training to become part of a team of First Aid staff within schoolMAIN DUTIES• Welcome parents/carers, visitors from external agencies etc at reception• To assist with safeguarding procedures for example the signing in/out process and maintenance of record books.• Check pupils in/out for hospital/dental appointments and signing out of sick students• Assist in fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures• Receive and redirect telephone calls taking accurate information• Contact parents when requested by staff• Assist with general administration tasks using Microsoft Office Windows and Excel and the School Management Information System• Assist with general finance administration tasks including the processing of orders• Carry out scanning of documents to the electronic filing system• Maintain electronic booking systems• Distribute and organise incoming and outgoing mail, log items for posting and use the franking machine.• Ensure that the reception area is secure and tidy• Carry out the duties of a First Aider as and when required.About the SchoolArchbishop Blanch Church of England High School for girls in year 7-11, with a mixed sixth form, is at a very exciting stage in its development.
