We have a fantastic position available for a Maintenance Administrator in which you will be the main person responsible for accurately logging and monitoring all repairs and scheduled works undertaken at our properties for our residents.

You will join us in New Start’s head office, based in L13, on a Permanent, full-time contract working 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday, either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm).

New Start is a family-run, not-for-profit organisation, providing residential and supported accommodation services for vulnerable adults, families, and young people. You will work within a developing administrative Maintenance Team, accurately handling and monitoring data, to ensure New Start is able to meet its targets set both internally and externally, which will ultimately drive performance resulting in better service delivery for our residents.

Key duties as our Maintenance Administrator will be to:

  • To accurately record maintenance works on New Start’s bespoke database system, providing reminders for works approaching due dates.
  • To provide support around compliance with regards to property certification and licensing requirements, liaising with external companies when required.
  • To develop a detailed understanding around types of repairs in line with New Start’s procedures.
  • To work as part of a team providing quality accommodation and support services for vulnerable adults and young people within a safe and secure environment.

 What we’re looking for in our ideal Maintenance Administrator:

  • You will have A-level standard qualifications, with GCSE in English and Maths grade C or above (Essential).
  • Basic knowledge around maintenance works and standards or a willingness to learn (Desirable).
  • We require an ability to use Microsoft office and we will undertake an assessment at interview stage (Essential).
  • Ability to accurately record information and adapt to using new database systems (Essential).
  • We are looking for a highly empathetic individual who can liaise with people with mental health challenges, trauma, substance abuse and a range of other issues, in a non-judgemental manner (Essential).
  • Good organisational skills (Essential)
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (Desirable)
  • A graduate degree (Desirable)
  • An ability to work without supervision (Essential).
