The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals within Belle Vale, Hunts Cross & Mossley Hill Childrens Centre. The post is 14 hours per week Monday - Tuesday. Working on a rota basis between the hours of 8.30 – 5.00pm. Occasional weekends and evenings will be required to meet the needs of the children, families and local communities we work with.

We are looking for a Health Promotion Worker who is committed and dedicated to working with families and making positive changes to young Children’s lives.

The Health Promotion Worker will work directly with children, their families and our Partners. They will promote and facilitate services and support to address all aspects of Children’s Health & Wellbeing. This will include Ante Natal Sessions, Breastfeeding and Introducing Solids. Health, Nutrition and physical activity. Accident Prevention and Parental & Child Mental Health.

The Health Promotion Worker will work alongside Partners to support Families from our BAME communities and contribute to reducing barriers to accessing services.

You will provide Early Help targeted interventions to children and families facing a range of difficulties. In collaboration with the Family and partner agencies you will develop individual targeted plans of intervention in accordance with the needs of the child and their family as part of the Early Help offer.
