Huyton Asphalt Civils Ltd is a medium sized civil engineering contractor operating throughout the North West

 

Based in St Helens with travel required to sites across Greater Merseyside.

 

Duties include;

 

Assisting the Plant Manager and learning how to repair and maintain the Company’s fleet of vans, wagons and construction plant.


Assisting with vehicle inspections


Servicing vehicles and plant


Repairing vehicles and plant


Maintaining all relevant records


Driving and cleaning of vehicles and plant is a necessary part of the duties

 

The Trainee will develop a broad understanding of the job role including workplace safety, providing customer service, effective use and of handling resources as well as demonstrating practical skills


Paid training and study leave as appropriate


Requirements


Must have full clean driving licence

Genuine interest in the care and maintenance of motor vehicles

Attention to detail

Accurate record keeping

Must be prepared to work outdoors in all conditions with due regard to health, safety and well being

This job is a Kickstart opportunity, ringfenced by DWP; you must be aged 16-24, claiming Universal Credit and prepared to register with the ESF Ways to Work project to apply.
