We the Liverpool Register Office are proud of the first-class service we deliver from St George’s Hall. To maintain our excellent reputation, we are seeking to recruit a flexible and self-motivated person to join our team of Supplementary Registration Officers.

The teamwork in conjunction with full time staff to provide administrative support and a range of ceremonies including marriages and civil partnerships from the Register Office (St Georges Hall) and other approved venues within the city 7 days per week. In addition, there may be opportunity for training on other registration duties subject to customer demand. If this is something that you would be interested in, we would love to hear from you!

Applicants please note during periods of training additional hours, up to full time, will be required for up to a 6 week block. This post is 3.5 hours per week the salary will be pro-rata to reflect this.

Hours of work are 1 day per fortnight Monday – Saturday plus weekend rota on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. The nature of the work requires attendance at functions and ceremonies outside normal working hours. These extra duties fall, in the main, on Friday or Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Additional hours will be allocated on a rota basis as customer demand requires. Availability of 1 in 2 weekends May–October and of 1 in 4 weekends November-April is required.

Applicants will need a proven track record working within a direct customer facing service with the emphasis on data input and accuracy. You should also have an administrative background with excellent organisational skills and experience of working with customers whose first language is not English.
