Liverpool Business School at LJMU is looking for experienced part time individuals with a track record for delivering high impact, engaging taught sessions (lectures, seminars workshops) with practitioner experience. The School is responsible for the Leadership Growth Skills project which is a £1.3 million project, part funded by the European Union Social Fund to develop leadership and management skills across the Liverpool City Region from October 2021 to November 2023. The School sees leaders and managers as the catalysts to improving performance, productivity and business growth.

We are interested in adding sessional staff who can work flexibly to supplement our core team who are able to deliver City of Guilds / Institute of Leadership and Management programmes at the following levels:

Level 2 Award in Leadership and Team Skills
Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management

LJMU use the Canvas VLE (Instructure | Educational Software Development) integrated with Zoom as the live classroom software. Please also indicate if you are able to travel within the Liverpool City Region to deliver localised or Client workshops.


- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching/training people at L2 and L3 in Leadership and Management (City & Guilds – ILM)
- Ability to teach face-to-face (f2f) and online, in view of covid-restrictions as applicable.
- Experience working with online platforms such as Canvas, City & Guilds Portfolio Plus, Moodle and similar
- Experience working with employees (i.e. adult learners) in micro enterprises. (1 to 9 employees) and SMEs (10-249 employees)
- Qualified to teach people with disabilities and learning challenges.
- To deliver training in venues across the Liverpool City Region – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St. Helens, Wirral.

Any additional experience with assessment is welcome as we are also likely to require an additional 6 or 7 days per 8 learners for marking assignments.
