Learning and Development (L&D) is about creating a culture of continuous learning and growth through our programmes that enable us (Liverpool City Council) to constantly grow and develop our people to ensure we can deliver services to meet the needs of our residents.

Our team of 10 develop and deliver a range of training solutions through live classrooms using Zoom and MS Teams and e-learning (online) learning. This includes ICT training, team building, wellbeing, business skills, leadership and more. We also help the City Council recruit and develop staff using apprenticeships.

This is were you come in; we are looking for a young person to join our team to work alongside our dedicated Learning & Development Professionals.

The job will involve you working at our fabulous office in Cunard Building on the Liverpool waterfront (with potential for agreement to work from home).

You will support the Learning and Development Service by responding to queries from staff and external training providers via email and telephone.
You will be trained and supported to enable you to administer the Learning Management System in a timely manner, upload course information and dates, monitor bookings and record attendance.
You will collate data from our Learning Management System and spreadsheets and present the information in an easy to read format.
You will collate feedback to help us evaluate and improve our learning and development programmes to ensure that training remains relevant and fit for purpose.
You will be trained to research suitable training services from external bodies to meet the learning and development needs of the organisation.
You will support the development of training materials and learning resources in a variety of formats using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
You will be trained and supported to enable you to support the design and development of creative and engaging eLearning courses.
You will help ensure our Learning and Development Suite is keep tidy and all ICT equipment is in working order. This may include helping trainers set up their equipment ready for classroom training.
You will provide support to schedule and resource training, exams and other training sessions including sourcing and booking rooms, preparing materials, and assisting with ICT equipment.
