We are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to work Nights (8pm-8am) at our Brooklands Care Home in L13, working 4 nights a week. Brooklands Care Home specialises in the care of dementia and caters for up to 45 residents.
Our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.
As the Senior Care Assistant, you will be tasked with managing the care team within the Home and ensuring that care staff are adhering to CQC guidelines whilst providing exceptional levels of care to residents. You will promote and deliver high standards of care and supervise and support less experienced staff to enable them to fully contribute to the care provided within the Home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for older people.
• Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
• Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.
Skills and Experience:
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect.
• Previous experience working within an elderly care setting.
• Team player but able to work on your own initiative.
• Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home.
• Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting and experience of working with the elderly.
• A minimum of a NVQ level 2 in health & social care along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care.
