Apprentice HGV Driver x 2 posts - Fixed term – 15 months

Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career. The programme provides work-based training to young people and adults who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.
Your duties will include assisting with the cleanliness of the borough by supporting with the driving and operating of vehicles, whilst working as a member of the team alongside the cleansing operatives. Shadow the driver and support as necessary for the assigned vehicle, complete vehicle checks and report any faults, load and unload the vehicle, support the driver with the timings of routes and with any information on the collection and/or delivery of loads.
Must have a full clean driving licence.
The post will be based from Hawthorne Road Depot, Bootle.
