If the answer is yes, then this may be the apprenticeship for you!£177.45 - £340.08Monday – Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (One of these day to be College release)Total hours per week: 39.00Expected duration4 yearsApprenticeship levelAdvancedLevel 3 (A level)The successful candidates duties will include but is not limited to:•Performing preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution equipment•Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electric code specifications for electrical equipment installations•Testing electrical equipment and parts for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance•Apply principles, practices and legislation for diagnosing and correcting electrical faults in electrotechnical systemsYour key responsibilities will include:•Where competent to do so, carry out instructions to complete projects to the satisfaction of mentor, manager or other nominated designates•Support the team to plan and organise work in an economical and effective manner, making the best use of your available time, plant, transport and materials in accordance with specified company priority response times•To undertake diagnostic and pre-measuring work to ascertain the nature of any activity and facilitate its completion•Use any communication or IT equipment to facilitate the job role•To correctly complete all documentation and provide/input all information associated with the role and duties undertaken•Learn to safely use all necessary tools, plant and equipment associated with the post and duties undertaken•Undertake individual or corporate training and development in association with your role and duties•Ensure the observance of all statutory and local safety precautions and report immediately any accidents or breaches of safety procedures•Work with your mentor to ensure the compliance of all minimum standards of work, customer care requirements and key performance measures in undertaking the role•Carry out other appropriate duties as required which your line manager may from time to time determineIf successful you will need to learn and implement the following:•Have knowledge of HMS’s Corporate Objectives and promote its mission, objectives and business outcomes•To ensure the Health and Safety policy, arrangements and operating procedures are adhered to delivering effective and safe operations, in particular complying with safe systems of work•Comply with both Group and HMS policies and relevant legislation including Data Protection, Customer Care, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety and Financial controls•Communicate openly and positively with customers•Support the delivery of efficient, value for money services and aim to exceed the expectations of clients and customers
