An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Site Inspection team, you will have good experience/knowledge in applying the Building Regulations, interpreting plans/construction specifications, plan assessment, dangerous structures/associated legislation and dealing with all aspects of building work that typically gets submitted into a lively City Building Control team.


We need a person who can balance a full workload, work independently on a range of Building Regulation submissions and provide competent support to the whole team. You should have sound proven knowledge/experience in dealing with the following:


Undertaking site inspections on various building/development schemes and ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations is achieved.


An ability to undertake plan assessments of domestic, commercial and industrial building types.


The application of the Building Regulations & associated guidance documents.


Good interpersonal skills both in written and oral formats.


Building Regulation enforcement.


Dealing with Dangerous Structure/Demolition processes/legislation.


Understanding of a Quality Management systems in relation to Building Control.


Good digital literacy.


Working pro-actively and supportively in a team environment.
