About the role –

As a Senior you will report directly to the /nurse in charge/deputy and Home manager. You will be provided with suitable training and support in order to fulfil your role and you will receive a mentor system via one of your colleagues. There will be the opportunity for progression through NVQ routes with a potential to progress towards deputy roles and if based in a nursing home the future could also support you being trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner! Ultimately success in the role is knowing that your residents are well cared for and within a safe environment as well as your own professional development.

We fully believe that by supporting each individual within their role to achieve their full potential then this supports the overall quality of care we can provide to our residents and adds to the success of the business.

Core Duties –

·         Administration of medication safely and following company policy and guidelines.

·         Creation and updating of person centred care plans.

·         Assisting with all aspects of day to day care for residents

·         Leading a team of HCA’s

·         Engaging with residents who wish to take part in ongoing recreational activities

·         Supporting the Seniors/Nursing staff and Home Manager with your own professional development

Skills and experience –

·         NVQ level 2 or 3 essential

·         Be willing to work towards level 3 if you do not already hold this

·         We can support you with medication competencies however we would require that you have had experience in administering medication previously

·         Previous work experience as HCA or Senior HCA

·         Previous work experience within a care home setting

Benefits – We offer an attendance bonus as an add on to your hourly rate and an additional supplement should you work weekends/nights. In addition you can enrol in one of our professional development programmes – NVQ level 3 and in the future our Care Home Assistant Practitioner programme. There are progression opportunities to support you moving through to become a  CHAP, Deputy Home Manager and you are our future talented Home Managers

Working week – Shifts are set at 12 hour shifts 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am. As we do provide 24 hour care we need individuals to be flexible and also work weekends but we do this weekend on weekend off on the rota, we will also if you wish block your shifts together so if you work x36 hours we would group your shifts as x3 together allowing you x4 days off!

Locations – We have homes based at the following locations – Huyton, Liverpool, Preston, Wirral and Ormskirk. We look forward to hearing from you!
