Research Assistant – Web Development & 3D Visualisation (Fixed term 6 months)

£33,797 - £40,323 pro rata per annum

The School of Computer Science and Mathematics seeks to appoint a Research Assistant to develop a Security Modelling and Verification platform for a project involved in the development and testing of a 5G testbed network with the focus on eHealth applications. The aim of the project is to produce a bespoke system based on requirements, it involves creating new customised business process modelling scenarios (BPMN based) and carrying out security verification against multiple security policies or standards such as ISO27001 and GDPR.


Working as a member of a team, you will have a background in Unity and PHP-based web development, using C# and Python, with knowledge in cyber security and BPMN desirable. Experience in report writing, algorithm design and 3D visualisation are essential. You will be required to attend meeting events and networking opportunities to support the development of effective business-university relationships and assist with the project planning, coordination and implementation.
