The Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET) at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) comprises of seven leading research groups bringing together a broad range of disciplines from astrophysics to bio-engineering and computer games technology to microwave research. FET is a newly structured Faculty with a dynamic approach to teaching, research and industrial outreach activities. 

We are seeking to develop a dedicated, highly motivated team to be responsible for the delivery of the LCR4.0 Holistic programme, an exciting initiative part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which is part of the legacy of projects following the pioneering LCR 4.0 project. The project will be a key part of the business support landscape to increase productivity in Liverpool City Region (LCR) organisations through the development of digital innovation strategies for growth. LCR4.0 Holistic offers the opportunity for the LCR to position itself at the forefront of an emerging global revolution driven by technology advances merging digital and physical worlds and leading in Industry 4.0 technologies. 

We are seeking a Strategic Manager who will lead the team and deliver the mission, vision, strategy and objectives of the project. You will need significant experience of senior management, expert knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and in depth knowledge of the business landscape and University assets.

You will be an experience team manager, with a degree in a relevant discipline, and be able to showcase the ability to develop new strategic initiatives for the region and the University. Reporting to the Pro Vice Chancellor, you are responsible for the overall project delivery.

The post is part-funded by ERDF as part of the England 2014 to 2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme. The post is fixed term until 30th Sept 2023 and will be offered subject to the approval of European Regional Development Funding.
