We are recruiting a lead post-doctoral researcher with a background in nutrition for an ESRC funded project on ultra-processed food, nutrition and eating behaviour. The researcher will join the Department of Psychology and be based in the Appetite & Obesity research group. The project is led by Professor Eric Robinson and Dr Jenna Cummings, University of Liverpool. Project partners include Imperial College London. The post will involve leading a laboratory experiment investigating the impact that food processing and food nutritional content have on daily energy intake. Study design, protocol development and laboratory diet planning. Leading on participant recruitment, data collection and analysis. Supervising a graduate level research assistant to support data collection. To support the dissemination of the research, including contribution to research publications and conference presentations. To contribute to project reports and presentations to stakeholders where appropriate. To identify and engage in personal development opportunities to support your career development. You should have a PhD in nutrition, public health nutrition or a related field (i.e. nutrition related) and minimum of at least one publication as first author and a publication record appropriate to stage of career (i.e., grade 7, spine point 31). If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.

£39,355 - £40,497 PA (Pro Rata)
