Location: Huyton Travel Ltd, 37 Wilson Road, Huyton, L36 6AN Department: Admin Huyton Travel have an exciting opportunity for a young person aged 18-24, not in employment, education or training, to become part of their friendly supportive team. Full training will be given to the successful candidate. This is a Young Person's Guarantee- Grant Funded Position Job Summary: We are looking for a person that is aged 18-24, and is not in education, employment or training. The successful candidate will be trained and supported to undertake a variety of administrative duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our garage and fleet management activities. This role requires will enhance the successful applicants skills, including excellent computer skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Duties: You will be required to perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry. Maintain and organize engineering and fleet maintenance records. Prepare and update technical reports, maintenance logs, and fleet documentation. 2. Driver and Fleet Management: Assist in daily scheduling and dispatching of drivers. Check drivers' daily vehicle checks and ensure they have the relevant licenses. Ensure all domestic drivers' hours rules are strictly adhered to. 3. Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Support the implementation of engineering policies related to fleet management and operational efficiency. Assist with warranty claims, service contracts, and regulatory paperwork for fleet compliance. Assist in scheduling vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs. Handle procurement tasks for vehicle parts, maintenance tools, and engineering supplies. Communication and Liaison: Act as a liaison between the engineering department, drivers, and external contractors. Coordinate scheduling, including arranging meetings, booking conference rooms, and setting up video calls. The job will involve dealing with problems, complaints, vehicle breakdowns, and other issues in a professional manner, escalating to the Operations Manager when necessary. Qualifications: Good computer skills. Good organizational and multitasking abilities. Will be supported to have familiarity with fleet management and vehicle maintenance procedures. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work. Have a positive attitude to work Are excited to learn new skills and ways of working. Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role if possible Full training and support will be given This is a YPG Grant Funded opportunity for a young person aged 18-24.
